To ensure that school children are not caught in peak hour traffic, the State Government has decided to advance school timings by half an hour in the City, from the coming academic year.
Government schools will start from 9 am, private-aided and unaided schools will open at 8.30 am, said Commissioner to the Department of Public Instructions, Kumar Naik.
